Douglas, AZ Teeth Whitening

Sparkling-white teeth convey a message of health, youth, and beauty and will help you feel more confident about your smile. Professional teeth bleaching can take years of food stain and discoloration off your teeth and even whiten their natural pigmentation. It’s our most popular smile makeover treatment.A comparison photo showing how yellow and dark teeth look before having teeth whitening, and then the brighter tooth color that results from the treatment.

Over-the-counter whitening products deliver limited results, and it can increase your risk of experiencing sensitivity and other possible damage to your teeth. Thus, visiting a dentist for professional whitening is the key to getting the best and safest outcomes.

Teeth Whitening by Dr. Tostado

When you visit Dr. Gilberto Tostado to whiten your teeth, he will first check your teeth and gums to ensure that they are in good health before starting your treatment. If you have any open cavities or exposed dentin, you could end up with a sensitivity reaction.

Next, Dr. Tostado will discuss your teeth whitening goals with you.

After that, Dr. Tostado will recommend a bleaching treatment which will help you reach those goals.

Finally, Dr. Tostado will set you up with either an in-office whitening procedure or a take-home whitening kit, depending on your preferences.

Dr. Tostado uses the Rembrandt whitening system to help his patients achieve brighter smiles. Rembrandt can lighten teeth by up to ten shades. You will be able to choose from two available bleaching protocols:

  • A take-home whitening kit with customized bleaching trays
  • A one-hour in-office bleaching session, often followed with either whitening strips or a bleaching tray for touch ups

The results of your whitening treatment are permanent, but you may need to bleach your teeth again in the future as they can acquire new stains over time.

If you want to whiten your teeth but need to have dental restorations such as crowns or veneers placed, then Dr. Tostado recommends whitening your teeth first. This is because it’s more predictable to match dental work to your whitened teeth than to try to reach that match by bleaching.
